:( Please read the following before asking for my help.

Thanks to deuterio.net (http://www.deuterio.net), my Guild Wars map guides are now visible to the whole world. That's a good thing - any help you can find through search engines is great!

For the most part, the people that have contacted me in game about these cartographer guides have been very nice, but, alas, thanks to a rare few I'm editing these to remove direct references to my contact information.

If you have a question for me, and really want to get in touch you can register here (or on Guild Wars Guru (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/) my handle there is LicensedLuny) and leave me a PM, but I won't list my IGN here anymore.

I'm very sorry I have to list all this, but it seems I do. If you do contact me and I don't answer (right away or ever) here are some common reasons why that may be.

I'm busy or afk. It's a game ... a game I play. I know it shocks some people, but my top priority in life will not always be to help complete strangers get their map titles.
You're asking me to look at your map and find the spots you're missing. Sorry, that's not a service I generally provide. There seem to be some very nice people on Guru (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/) that have tricks for image comparison. If you want someone to find the spots you're missing, that's a better place to look.

You're initial message lacks what I consider to be basic manners when first approaching someone that doesn't know you. Wait a couple days, and try again, this time remembering some of the basic concepts of politeness that your parents (should've) taught you.
Your question is about something I've already covered and answered to the best of my ability on one of these posts. The fact that you've asked leaves me with a strong suspicion that you haven't taken the time to read what I took the time to write. Without further clarification from you as to why your specific question isn't covered, I'm not likely to take the time to answer.
You're requesting me to run you someplace, tell you how to get someplace, tell you the build for getting someplace. I am not a runner, nor am I a build expert. Any place I've found unusually tricky to get to after finishing the whole game, I've made note of on these posts. If you can't be bothered to really go out and explore, then I don't really need to help you get the Grandmaster Cartographer title.
I assure you that repeated messages akin to "dude wtf answer me already u damn noob!" will only serve to guarantee I add you to my ignore list.

Again, I apologize to the vast majority of people out there that I had to put such a disclaimer up in the first place. I hope everyone that wants the GMC titles has a terrific time exploring such wonderful worlds.
Hi again all,

Keeping with tradition, I've completed my Elonian Grandmaster Cartographer work. And here's the post to help anyone else that wants to work on it, too.

I'm qualified:

Again, credits to ANet and NCSoft for the game, imageshack for the hosting, and most importantly, to my friends for their support and for making the game worth playing.

This is my third GMC guide, and again, I won't go into the general mapping theory I've covered in the Tryian Grandmaster Cartographer post (http://www.deuterio.net/showthread.php?t=3693) just some notes specific to Elona.
This is the first chapter I could get the GMC title without completing the game. I hit 100% before starting the Ruins of Morah mission.
This is the first chapter I've started with the intent of mapping right from the beginning. Both Tyria and Cantha had areas I had to re-explore to get edges. In Elona, I started out refusing to go further in the main storyline until I'd uncovered every bit of map I could get to. I highly recommend this method rather than getting to the end of the game and finding yourself missing a few percent. It's much less stressful. (And I'm particularly proud that I finally got a GMC title without having to check other folks' maps of places I'd already been through.)
It seems like Elona is bigger than Cantha and smaller than Tyria.
Thankfully (so very very thankfully) Elona GMC doesn't require you to push edges of any PvP area like Cantha did.
Elona GMC does require you do one challenge mission, Remains of Sahlahja, but it's not PvP. However, that map was the hardest part of the Elonian map I found to uncover. My map of the area is not quite complete, but like before, the 100% title is not really 100%.
I did this with a Tyrian character, so there are two areas I cannot/could not get to: the very first explorable area on Istan where new Elonian characters have their tutorial and the battle map for the Istani arena. As with the other chapters, any character can still get to the low-level arena outpost by speaking with the Arena guard NPC. (He's in Kamadan, hold down Alt and look at the NE corner.)
All of the map can be uncovered with heroes and henchies. There was no special, tricky area (in terms of uncovering map) that required help from friends. I didn't find any place that required the sacrificial tricks needed in some obscure parts of Tryia. I didn't find any sneaky paths or air-walking tricks like in Tryia.
I didn't find any visible edge of the earth spots like in Tyria (except once during a case of bad lag/rubber-banding when I could walk way outside of a town into the zone w/out leaving the town.) I did see one spot where the cardboard edge of a map appeared on radar, though I've forgotten where that was now. :(
If you run across a good, visable edge of the earth spot in Elona please do let me know about it.
(Definition and discussion of edge of the earth is covered in the Tyrian GMC tutorial.)All the images are from my U map. Like before, these have no town/zone markers and no moving cloud effect from the M map.

Also like before, there are unavoidable overlaps, but I've tried to cover everything. If you find there's an area I haven't covered in at least one map below, please do let me know. I'll take a picture and post it here ASAP.

Good Guide!

I kinda realize why you can complete the title without finishing the game, As all the last missions are in the Realm of Torment, which is located in The Mists, they are not technically part of Elona, which I think it's a nice touch from the designers.
But because of that, I believe this must be the easiest GMC title of the three. Not to diminish your work, hey, I only have 75 % of Elona discovered and I finished the game yesterday with Vic. And I do have the impression that yes, Elona is much bigger than Cantha, not as big as Tyria, but I would say 2 thirds of the size of Tyria. And generally the mobs are much more easy to dispatch than the Cantha ones I feel. With some glaring exceptions of course.

So yeah, congrats again on the title. It's quite an achievement nevertheless.

I don't know about the mobs ... I found most of the mobs in Elona to be as easy to hench my way through (when mapping) as I found the Canthan ones. I'd imagine that Elona, like Cantha, would be harder to map on a running build than Tryia.

I didn't run any of Elona, even the island - killing all that stuff was a great way to level my heroes and gather all the collector bits my Dervish will need for her armor. :)

I agree with your spoiler ... nice design! and even I don't mind leaving some of those mobs alone!

I liked the look and feel of Elona more than Cantha, but that's personal preference.

Tyrian GMC is still my favorite title. :)

Thanks for making a nice home for my ramblings Hell!

Tyrian GMC is the best! I agree with you on that.

About the look and feel, I couldn't find a region in this chapter that I didn't liked, even the hazardous desert has great charm, especially if you get to the northwest-most part, where you can find some pleasant surprises for Prophecies players *wink*. Factions had great concepts, but some regions felt really depressing.

And thank you Luny for this, even when I'm not going for any GMC title yet, this guides and tips are great and a good read.
