Well, it's that time again.. Smokey bored and want too learn a little bit more about the people in his forum (That's right HellC my forum :boogie:  :boogie: ) I want too know you ultimate best computer game of all time. Not only do I want too know that, I want too know your favourite game in each genre(catergory).
For me it's easy. My best and most favoured game of all time would have too be Sid Meiers Civilization. It was the game that made me a 'geek'. Coming home from primary school after riding my bike with my friends all afternoon, nothing beat elimating an entire civilization or two.. Even better was comparing the results with other like minded school mates.. Ahh those were the days.. EGA graphics and the sort. Civilization also gave me the great love for world history and geography that I have too this day.
I'm not a big fan of car racing games, but I would have too say the Need For Speed Most Wanted would be the best one that I've played. Just being able too change my car and mod it anyway I pleased made that enjoyable.
I'm not a huge fan of sports but I did enjoy making Germany beat everyone in World Cup Soccer. Anything too put my beloved Germans in there rightful place..
First person shooters are a give in for me. Nothing compares too Battlefield 2. Having too work as a unit and knowing your role. Slight strategic values makes it by far the best shoot 'em up. It's not as aimless as FEAR there are more set goals in it than just killing everyone on the map. An honourable mention too Duke Nukem 3D and Wolfenstein for being the first FPS that I've ever played though.
As for city builders.. This one is a hard one.. I played the orginal Sim City back in the very early DOS years but as I've grown, I've come more too like the Sierra offshoot of the genre. Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom wins my vote in this regard.
Best MMO goes too GW, for if it wasn't for that game I would never have met my fellow Hardkorians. I suppose I would have enjoyed any MMO though as long as you lot were there.
Honourable mentions have too go too Warcraft, Leisure Suit Larry (first game I ever saw boobys in!) and the Sims.
Well, write and let me know what you guys think. I'm curious and bored and want too see some responses  :)
