Si andan buscando una aplicación de edición de imágenes barata, nada mejor para comenzar que el GIMP, que es gratuita. No tendrá las funciones mas avanzadas de aplicaciones comerciales como Photoshop o PaintShop Pro, pero tiene herramientas suficientes para realizar composiciones de imágenes, retocar y manipular fotos y hacer algunos trabajos bastante imaginativos. Si sus necesidades se reducen a cambiar el tamaño, el formato (.bmp a .jpg por ejemplo) o retoques menores a sus imágenes, el GIMP tiene todo lo que necesitan y más.
El 13 de abril sacaron una nueva versión. la version 2.2.11 para windows puede ser descargada aqui (http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html). Noten que requieren también instalar antes el entorno GTK+ 2 que esta disponible en esa misma página.

If your needs are only change image size, or the format (.bmp to .jpg) by example, or minor image retouching, the GIMP has everything you need and more.
